Do you baste your backs at any time during the first 2-3 hrs when cooking indirect. "Your" feedback would definitely help. Thanks. Dale

No I do not baste the ribs at all the first few hours. Or at all, for that matter. I may put sauce on for the last 30 minutes, but that's it. Cooking on ceramics keeps the meat moist, therefore no basting is really needed in most cases.
