Now these ARE Lamb Shanks!!!! I hate paying $4 lb for these, but couldn't resist when I saw them at BJ's a couple weeks ago. Better than those puny lil things at Publix
A little over 1½ lb each!
All studded with garlic and seasoned with Kosher Salt, Smokehouse Pepper and some crushed Rosemary
On to the smoker at 250° with some BBQ Delights "Savory Herb" pellets for smoke. Here we are after 3 hours and the internal temp on the shanks is around 160°.
My intention was to put these into my CI Dutch Oven and finish off on the grill, but appears that my CIDO needed too much attention to clean it up in order to use it so I just put into a pot on the stove with some garlic infused beef broth, carrots, potatoes and onions.
