There are a couple of things that piss me off about this situation.
1) The USDA uses billions of our dollars every year to make sure our food is safe. A few months ago they announced they were downsizing their inspections so as to not waste 'manpower'. For example: if an establishment has had a 'clean bill of health' for a certain length of time, there will be no more inspections unless a 'problem' arises! WTF???
2) If the USDA was dong it's job, why would they not find problems before they left the plant? Is it acceptable to wait for the public to get sick first, before they investigate?
