I've been looking for some time for a good, "authentic" italian sweet fennel sausage recipe. I grind my own meat,, toast the fennel, after that I'm not sure which way is up. Also, any suggestions other than mortar and pestal for good grind for fennel. Coffee grinder doesn't seem to do the trick.
Thanks, Donna

Thanks, Donna Morning Donna Whenever I'm searching sausage recipes, I always use this site lpoli.50webs.com/AlphabeticalList.htmAs far as grinding the spices, I use an adjustable coffee grinder and it seems to work for me. Outside of that, your mortar and pestle is the best bet to achieve what you are looking for.
