I haven't had a cheesesteak in years. It was delivered by a local restaurant that specializes in Philly Cheesesteaks and it was bad. So I made a few with prime rib roast leftovers. Saute some shrooms Saute some onion Saute some peppers Slice up leftover rib roast. Remove as much fat as possible. Griddle buttered hoagie rolls in more butter. Some add mayo after this. Some don't. Throw the fixins into a skillet and add a bit of seasoned and reduced onion soup that has been "beefed up" with Better Than Bouillon beef base for added moisture and flavor The first addition of Provolone to get it all melty and incorporated Plated with the second addition of Provolone I made the mistake of putting a few of these together a couple of days ago and was begged to make them again. So I did. This ought to hold me for a few more years but I still have enough ingredients for another go around. I already know it will be happening again. I've been told.
