Hawaiian Style Ribs 'loosely' based on THIS RECIPE from Sweet Baby Ray's The Ribs1 rack of St. Louis Style Spareribs (or Baby Backs) ¼-½ cup of pineapple juice Pineapple rings or chunks Kosher Salt Black pepper Garlic powder The Sauce1-1½ cups of Sweet Baby Ray's Hawaiian BBQ Sauce 2 oz of gold spiced rum 2 oz pineapple juice (optional) ½ tsp dried minced onion ½ tsp dried minced garlic The MethodTrim and prep (or not) ribs your normal way Rub pineapple juice onto both sides of the ribs (optional) place ribs in the fridge for a couple of hours Sprinkle both sides of the ribs with the salt, pepper and the garlic Cook in the oven or the grill at 240-250° for approximately five hours, plus or minus, until they are done Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together in a sauce pan and heat on low until thoroughly mixed During the last hour of cooking frequently baste the ribs with the sauce while gradually increasing the heat to 325° About 15 minutes before ribs are done, baste again with the sauce and place the pineapple rings/chunks on the ribs That's it! Let the ribs set for about five minutes before slicing. Serve the leftover sauce on the side for dipping I wouldn't want them all the time, but every now and then for a change they ain't half bad
