I have been using Cowboy brand charcoal and wonder if the BGE charcoal is worth the difference in cost. Guy at store says Cowboy has a lot of small pieces that don't burn as well and the BGE charcoal is worth the difference. He sells both brands.
Suggestions about these two or any other brands you like?
Thanks

Thanks I've heard reports lately that Cowboy has changed and their charcoal is much bigger than it was. As far as the small pieces, ALL lump will have small pieces, especially if mishandled and tossed around a lot. The BGE charcoal is manufactured by Royal Oak. So, if you have a Wally World nearby, you can buy RO there for a lot cheaper than the BGE brand! Best thing to do is to buy a bag of each and see which one works the best for you. I'm stuck on Mali's Gourmet Lump Charcoal, but it can be hard to find. The Naked Whiz has a great review of the different charcoals at this link www.nakedwhiz.com/lump.htm
