Ya know......I haven't a clue!!! Never have seen anything like that in any of my Pulled Pork. Almost looks like a vein or an artery Hard? Soft?

It is very soft but durable.....I tried to cut through it with my nail but couldn't and I could not rip it in half!

Prevalent in the Beef Chuck and Rib is the 'back strap', which is a lengthwise tough, yellow ligament (usually, but NOT always, removed by the meat cutter before the meat goes on display in the meat case).
I'd say you got the Pork Shoulder version of the above.
One more question, was this your own Pulled Pork or did you purchase it at a restaurant, etc?

It was one of those daily made containers of pulled pork from a supermarket. The supermarket was Harris Teeter....Maybe they are a little bit more careless?

They could've been careless, which is a good explanation. Or, it could be a complete foreign object from another procedure, recipe, prep, etc I would save it, take it back and see what THEIR explanation is ;D

Hahaha that is actually the plan! I have it in my freezer in a zip lock bag. I'm interested in seeing their explanation, even though it may be slightly awkward!

Alright I'm back.....well they said they have never seen this before but they believe that it is a vein. They told me that all of the pulled pork is mechanically separated and nobody really pays a whole lot of attention. They definitely were interested/shocked though!

And they replaced it or gave you 'credit' on your next purchase?

Haha I actually didn't ask for a replacement or anything. It doesn't really bother me that much. They did tell me to at least bring the container that it came in so they can send it back or something. Maybe after I bring that in they'll give me some credit....The way I look at it even though it was strange to find a vein in my meal as long as it is harmless it doesn't bother me!
