Hello, I always buy my steaks fresh and never freeze it. I find once a steak is frozen the taste changes and they seem "different". Is it just me or is there really something more to this? Thanks! Joe

Joe I think it would depend on how the steak was frozen and for how long. Store clear plastic meat wrap, you might be good for a couple of months. Freezer wrap a little longer and if you vacuum it...up to 2 years or more. Freezing does change the texture of meat....the interior moisture freezes into crystals, expanding the meat. If not properly frozen, it will take on the taste of what is around it.

Thanks for the response. After a reread of my post I should have stated that the texture changes (as you indicated). The taste is the same.
Thanks! Joe
