again I reckon we are lucky to be where we are..You can't go 5 miles without finding farm fresh organic eggs... all birds are free ranged so minimal additional feed is used..during winter time ...but then, we also have farmers doing feed (grain crops) ..organically & Non GMO..most of these local producers wouldn't feed imported grains we have 2 Neighbors who have the best chickens..average 5-6 pounds dressed..very nice birds

One of the guys that goes to my wife's church raises chickens and sells the eggs. Not sure of the kind of chicken, but the egg shells have a bluish tinge to them. Darn tasty!
