Whilst perusing the aisles the other day at Costco (buying $6.49 lb whole Tenderloins), some Kingsford Competition All Natural Briquettes found their way into my cart Btw, NOT 20 lbs but 16.5 Not cheap at 51¢ per lb. Gave it a shot y'day with half of a half firebox full........... I then staggered some cooks of Hoffman Hot Dogs, Hoffman White Hots, homemade sausage patty's, chicken boobies and a Ball Tip Bottom Sirloin Roast. Approx 1½ hours later I'm giving the Finnied roast a quick sear. Ball Tip came out perfect (for moi) and served with steamed asparagus w/cheese sauce. Charcoal lit fairly quickly with a couple of Primo Quick Lights and got up to 300° cooking temp less than 30 minutes. It smoked the whole time while burning. Ok...here is the verdict. It burned about half of what I put in with very minimal ash. Temps ranged from 300° for the first half hour or so, 350° to finish up the dogs, sausage and boobies, up to 450° to sear the Ball Tip at the end. Not bad, I'm some what impressed
