Rumrunner's Carolina Style "Yellow" BBQ Sauce
1 cup cheap yellow mustard (prepared) ½ cup bottled lemon juice (store brand is fine) ¼ cup white vinegar ¼ cup brown sugar
1½ tsp granulated onion powder 1 tsp celery seed 1 tsp table salt 1 tsp chile powder (the blend, not straight 'chiles') ½ tsp hot sauce (your favorite)
Stir together the first four ingredients in a small sauce pan; bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently. Lower heat to a simmer; whisk in the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.
This is great for Pulled Pork and all kinds of ribs. Not too shabby on chicken, either.
Makes approximately 2 cups.
