As some of you know, I have quite a menagerie of critters around and on my property. These could be birds of all types, including raptors, skunks, coons, feral cats, snakes, etc. To be socially responsible, I do my best to feed them (except for the feral cats!). Lately the fat lazy little squirrels have just gotten wayyy too slovenly and complacent with the bird food and the cobs of corn. I've decided to put a little ingenuity and exercise into their daily feeding habits. If they want to eat...... they will have to JUMP for it!!! We'll see how this plays out, as it's right outside my office window, I should be able to get some decent pics, once the little attic rats figure it out ;D

Had some action this morning. Or, I should say some ACTION!
Had a squirrel on the cob fiddling around with it. I grabbed my camera to take a shot and whilst I was focusing in, etc, I see a black blur in my lens...WTF??? So I lower the camera to see one of the big old feral cats taking a few munches out of the squirrel
By the time I got a pair of pants on and hauled ass out the door with my bb gun...well ME hauling ass ain't very quick, so you get the idea...the dam cat was halfway across the field with the squirrel in tow.
Me thinks I'll have a different surprise for that cat the next time he's in sight and it won't be a copper BB in the butt, either!!
