My KitchenAid Pro 600 stand mixer ain't what she used to be. Actually she never was what I thought she was supposed to be. I just replaced the main circuit board which is also the on/off switch and speed control. It dances around my counter top when operating and sounds like a jackhammer. I've fixed it for the last time. It's either going to Craigslist or being given away along with a set of pasta rollers and meat grinder. I got a new toy. A Swedish designed and built Ankarsrum Assistent. It is quiet, powerful, doesn't jump around and has such an awesome track record it will probably be passed on to one of my children when the time comes. What a fantastic piece of kitchen equipment! My inaugural cook using the Ankarsrum was a simple one but a favorite here. Pastry chef grade Blueberry muffins. Batter ingredients in the plastic bowl. The Stainless steel bowl is reserved for heavier mixing. I used the dual balloon whips for this batter. Very efficient and quiet operation. Fold blueberries and orange zest into the batter Fill miniature paper panettone cups with batter using a pastry bag or ice cream scoop. I used an ice cream scoop. Add more blueberries along with a bit of sugar. Just out of the oven for this morning's breakfast Miniature panettone cups make for a beautiful presentation. Recipe here
