A couple of superb dishes from Transylvania to get you into the Halloween spirit. Székelyalmás (Transylvanian Pork With Apples In Cider Cream Sauce)
Lightly brown thinly sliced pork loin in olive oil and butter Give them a flip Remove pork to a platter and add peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples, garlic, onion, and 1 minced Fresno chili. Cook until soft. Add hard cider and reduce by half. Add stock, cream, and mustard, and bring to a boil; return pork to skillet, and add marjoram. Reduce heat to medium, and cook until pork is cooked through and sauce has thickened, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with parsley; serve over rice and side with Mămăligă Cu Smăntănă Transylvanian Pork With Apples In Cider Cream SauceThis restaurant quality dish is scary good. It will be part of my life from this day forward. Serve over cooked rice, egg noodles, or Hungarian Spaetzle Mămăligă Cu Smăntănă(Romanian Polenta With Feta And Sour Cream) Transylvania is a region on Romania. Mămăligă, or Romanian Polenta, is served with everything. Similar what we sometimes do with bread. The most flavorful way to enjoy this dish is with topped with sour cream. Add Feta cheese to take it to the next level. It is remarkable.
