Curious to hear your thoughts about the quality and taste of this Australian beef being sold by Winn Dixie. I work for them and have heard positive feedback so far from the customers who have purchased. We tried the grain fed ground beef last night for burgers and they were really good.

I work for them and have heard positive feedback so far from the customers who have purchased. We tried the grain fed ground beef last night for burgers and they were really good. The photo does the steak no justice, as it was a nice medium-rare The quality was great, you saw the marbling, and it was very, very tender. However, with most beef tenderloins, it lacked what I call "beefy" flavor. I only seasoned with salt and pepper, but next time may add a little garlic to the mix. I'm not sure if "my W/D" carries the grain fed ground beef, but if they do I will give it a shot. Thanks

BTW, I worked for W/D from 1976-1991 when they were still Winn-Dixie.

It definitely is NOT Winn Dixie anymore. Just the name on the building. We sell the same beef now as most other chains. The Australian Grassfed is relatively new, and the feedback has been positive so far. Worked here since 1977.
